SRT is committed to the communities we serve as well as the surrounding area. Employees donate thousands of hours of their own time to their local communities as volunteer firefighters, ambulance drivers, EMTs, mayors, city council members, school board members, and in church leadership positions.

Giving Mission

SRT has a reputation for being a good corporate citizen and is dedicated to supporting broad based solutions which ensure the future well-being of our communities. Each year, SRT makes notable contributions of financial support, merchandise, and services towards projects supporting efforts to cause positive change in our area.

Eligible

SRT contributes to community based programs:

  • Organizations whose beneficiaries are in SRT service territory
  • Programs which encourage community involvement and volunteerism
  • Non-profit 501c3 organizations
  • New & innovative projects are preferred over long term or annual funding

Discouraged

SRT receives many more requests than able to accommodate, and is unable to support the following:

  • Direct grants to individuals
  • Political parties, campaigns, or lobbying activities
  • Non tax-exempt organizations
  • Religious activities
  • Trips

Scholarships

Implemented in 1989, the SRT college scholarship program awards four $1000 college scholarships annually to high school seniors who recognize the importance of volunteerism, community involvement as well as academic achievement. Scholarships are awarded in May.

Donation & Sponsorship Requests

Organizations wishing to make a request to SRT should submit a request form at least four weeks prior to the date needed. Request forms are available:

Our Company

SRT Communications located in Minot, North Dakota is the state's largest telephone cooperative. SRT has served the telecommunications needs of north central North Dakota since 1951, employs more than 200 people, and serves over 48,000 customers.

SRT maintains a fiber optic, copper and wireless distribution and access network to provide essential and advanced communications. As a leader in deploying enhanced telecommunications services, SRT provides broadband and dial-up Internet services, wireless service and Cable TV as well as traditional telephone, leased line, frame relay, voice mail and long distance services.
