  • Telephone Service is your basic dial tone line charge which is billed one month in arrears.
  • Federal Tax is imposed on the customer by the Federal Government for certain communications services. Congress determines the tax rate and the services that apply. The tax is intended to tax services that allow you the ability to communicate to other subscribers of the telecommunications network.
  • State and/or City Taxes apply to local telephone service and intrastate toll service. The rates for city sales taxes vary.
  • Local Service GRT (Gross Receipts Tax) is assessed by the state based on SRT's revenues. This tax is passed on to the state for support of local schools, townships and counties.
  • Custom Calling & Star Services may be listed.
  • Local Number Portability (LNP) end user fee is collected to cover the cost of providing customers the ability to switch service providers while retaining the same telephone number at the same location. It also covers the cost for all customers to have the ability to call other customers that have ported their telephone numbers. The LNP end user fee is applied to all SRT customers.
  • Wire Maintenance is an added service that protects you from the cost of a repair call for wiring or phone jacks.
