Service restored to all customers!
 
10:20pm Update
Technicians continue to repair the damaged fiber optic cable affecting service for some customers in SE Minot.
 
Many residential and business customers should have their service restored by midnight, but it will likely take a few more hours to complete the full restoration.
 
This is a significant cut, requiring the removal of a large 14” thick slab of concrete and rebar just to uncover the damage. 
 

7:05pm Update

SRT technicians have been on site working to restore service and will continue to work until the damaged cable has been replaced. There is no estimated time of repair but we will update here as information is available. Thank you for your patience.

We have received reports of a cable cut that may be affecting phone and internet customers in Southeast Minot. We will post updates here as well as our Facebook page when we know more information. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Internet Upgrade – May 7 at 2:00 a.m.

Early on May 7, 2024, SRT will be making a necessary and worthwhile upgrade to our Internet service. The maintenance window will begin at 2 a.m. on May 7 and is expected to last roughly two hours.

The good news: After the upgrade is complete, SRT will have added capacity to deliver fast, reliable Internet to all customers, today and into the future.

The other news: During the upgrade, your devices will still be connected but won’t be able to access the Internet.

We are conducting this maintenance at 2:00 a.m. to minimize the impact to our valued customers. However, we also recognize that many residential and business customers rely on their Internet 24/7. Please note this upgrade schedule and plan accordingly for the brief maintenance window.

We apologize for the inconvenience and look forward to getting your upgraded connection running as quickly as possible. SRT is committed to delivering the speed and performance you expect from your Internet. Thank you for your patience while we take this next step to deliver on that promise.

SRT is aware of an issue with @srt.com and @minot.com email addresses. We are working with the e-mail vendor but do not have an estimated time of resolution. We will update when possible. Thank you for your patience.

Update: Tuesday, May 9th 2:30pm
The issue has been resolved and all email seems to be sending and receiving as expected. If you are still having email trouble, contact the SRT Internet Help Desk at 701-858-7873 for assistance.

Update: Monday, May 8th 12:30pm
Many customers using SRT Webmail, the SRT Email app, and some other email clients are now able to send and receive email.
 
Unfortunately, there are still some customers receiving a security certificate-related error. If you are still experiencing email trouble, contact the SRT Internet Help Desk for assistance. We appreciate your patience as they are working with a large number of customers as quickly as possible.

SRT email issues continue and are now affecting all @srt.com and @minot.com email customers including those using SRT Webmail and the SRT Email app. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience as we work to resolve the issue.

SRT is aware of an email issue for some customers which is causing an error message that says, “Mail cannot verify the identity of the server ‘imap.srt.com’.”
